Hi Charl,
Welcome to the forum!
It sounds like Dante missed you greatly. They are such sesnsitive beings. I have no doubt that after a little bit of time Dante will get used to his new home; especially since he gets to spend time with you again. His feathers will grow back. You are doing the right thing by making sure he feels very safe in the new surroundings. This is very important in order to emsure feather picking doesn't become a habit. How is his appetite, Is he eating alright?

Hi Grant thank you for the reply hes well hes eating well also. He is however extremely very quiet hes cage is right in front of me
he gets to see me all time but still very very quiet, im taking it a day at a time with him ,today i left the cage door open he carefully came out and stood at the door of the cage. Guess hes still
weary of the new environment. How long do u think its going to take his feather to grow back hes chest and legs are so bare.

His feathers will grow back fully once he has a molt. You will notice the white fluff balls coming in first and covering the area. It is hard to say precisely when they will grow back in. An avian vet would be able to give a more difinitive timeline. Have you gotten Dante checked, it is always a good idea to be on the safeside to rule out any medical condition causing the picking. Then you will be able to confidently know that it is soley a behavioral issue. Does he have a favorite treat that you can give to him as a reward for not picking?

Hi grant Yes he loves fruits ive been giving him apples and grapes. The vet gave me some vitamins and av stress to put in the Water . We didnt any bloods on him yet giving the fact that i though the long 6 month period of being continously in the Cage caused his depression. He seems to be enjoying his time Now coming in and out the cage but hes still weary of coming onto my hand
