Hello All,
I bought a lifetime companion an African grey. i dont know the gender so i named her Becky Presuming that she is female.
When i was looking for an African grey all that was available was very little chicks (4-6 Weeks old) and i was scared that i could not care for them went to a pet shop and there she was so adorable self feed and and extremely cuddly. the pet shop owner reveled that she dosent have paws i fell in more love with her as she was the friendliest of them all i saw that day. I brought her home to be a part of family. She is about 10-12 weeks old. i dont know how to insert a picture please guide so i can share.
Now as i am new to keeping African greys i have lots of questions to ask will be reading all threads.
My first question is i have a parrot stand and really dont want to keep her in the cage is it OK?
Thanks in Advance for all your input
Warm Regards
Rafaqat

Hello and welcome to the forum. You can add a photo by clicking on the Add Attachment button on the top right when you make or reply to a post. Yes she can go on a stand although she might be frightened of it at first as Greys can be nervous about anything new.

Welcome to the forum.
My grey has a cage which is her happy place. The cage has food, water and toys. It is a place for her to go where she feels safe. The cage door is always open when someone is home. She can come and go at will. She likes to sit on the drop down section of the cage door which I call her balcony. She also sleeps in her cage. She does have a parrot stand too but prefers to be on my arm when not in or on her cage.

Welcome to the forum! Do you have a photo editor on your computer? I use a free software called FastStone Image Viewer, you will be able to reduce the size of your photos with the edit function. There should be a way to reduce the size with Windows, but I am not an expert.
When you said that your new Grey doesn't have paws, did you mean claws?
