Wood Pigeons have always nested in the Wisteria, sometimes using the same nest. Last year I had it trimmed and the nest got removed. Yesterday I heard some contented cooing and saw a Wood Pigeon snuggled in the Wisteria more or less where the nest used to be. The Wood Pigeon didn't seem to realise there was no nest! I hope it doesn't lay an egg there because it will just fall to the ground.

I wonder what is going through their heads. "I swear that it was right here last year!"

Perhaps they are in the process of making a new nest where the old one used to be.

I think they have now realised the old nest has gone and they have started building a new nest a bit higher up.
