I picked up Drake from the airport late last night. He came from Delaware. He is a 5 month old DNA sexed male. He is already very affectionate and wants to sit on my shoulder constantly if I put him down he paces and tries to fly to my shoulder. So he is sitting on my shoulder as I type this actually. His wings are clipped (he came that way) so he does not fly very well so I wont let him do that to try to get to my shoulder if I can help it so on my shoulder he goes. I feel like he might get bored up there Ive obviously got no toys or anything hanging off my head, but he seems content for now sitting there preening and watching the MTV video music awards (yes were late watching).

Congratulations on having Drake home.
My first grey was a Velcro bird who would ride around on my shoulder. I had to pry stud earrings out of his beak and always had to wear old clothes as he liked to chew holes in them. He also liked to preen my hair. If no toys are available, they find their own amusement.
Chy never goes up on my shoulder. She prefers to ride around on my arm.

How is Drake doing? How have Joe and Louie been acting around Jake? I'll bet they are mighty curious about him.

Drake is doing wonderfully. Louie and Joe are very curious but they Louie as expected does not like Drake at all. I keep them separated for safety. Joe and Drake will sometimes "talk" to each other. Joe will whistle and Drake will whistle back, sometimes it sounds like Drake is copying Joe. We are currently trying to do some training but he does like like to take treats from my hand, and he is a very picky eater but we are working on it.

I wouldn't worry about him getting bored on your shoulder. If he is bored, he may get into trouble. Manzi was a shoulder bird for the first 5 years of his life. He didn't bite earrings or clothes because that meant he got kicked off my shoulder. He did a good job of being potty trained so I didn't have to worry about him messing on me. He also did a good job of staying balanced when I was running around the house cleaning or so. Manzi never preened my hair, but he did preen his own feathers and fluff them, getting dander and down feathers on my shoulder. It would have made for a great "bad example" for a head and shoulders commercial.
Drake looks beautiful and super content up on your shoulder. Now you'll both be getting into the routine of things. He seems like he's really taken to your company.
Is he on pellets?

Congrats on such a great bird.
It was almost a year before I let Beaker on my shoulder, as it is a privilege and not a right.
He will hang out for hours if I let him.
