I just found these parrots on craigslist (don't ask me why I was looking; torturing myself). minneapolis.craigslist.org/csw/for/4539105337.htmlAnyway, I found this very sad. I think the guy will have some serious trouble finding someone who will take all three. If they are split up they'll probably be pretty depressed. They look adorable. At times like this I wish I had my aviary already built. I'll be moving in a month (getting married!). I'm still a couple years away from being completely settled. Then I have some grandiose ideas for my "family" of animals and people.

We have recently had a couple of people from our parrot club asking for people to take their birds. One lady just lost her husband and can't handle four big birds. One is a grey. However, when I was still visiting Max before he was old enough to come home, I used to visit a pet store that had a grey and macaws. The grey would imitate the loud screech of the macaws. You think you are getting a quiet grey and it comes out with a macaw sound! The lady wanting to give up her birds had two macaws and a large cockatoo which she said was very loud. I can imagine what sounds that grey will make!
The other lady has health problems and wants people to take over 20 lovebirds.
When we look after a friend's four birds during her vacations, the noise drives us crazy. Chyloe rarely makes noise. She prefers to talk. I don't think I could handle very noisy birds.

Whenever I think my guys are loud, I just need to visit someone with an amazon or macaw. It makes my guy's voices seem puny.
Still, it would be nice if those guys could all stay together.

HAH! You think your greys are loud??
Compared to the Doodle when he was in a mood, Greenie whispers even at her FULL volume!

Smokey never yelled. She however on occasion emit an ear piercing CHIRP that went right thru me. Amy,my BF will "yell" at the top of her lungs, but only in words.. HELLO!!! HOW ARE YOU??? No screeching or anything else.. Now that I adopted jonesie the 'Too...we'll see how he does. He has already talked " I'm a good cockatoo Mannnnn" funny as heck lol..oh and I see he found his food bowl!
