I have been having some building repair work done on the house. Water was getting in during the awful weather we had at the beginning of the year. This was not due to flooding but due to insufficient cavity trays and no weep vents. I have to have bricks taken out, cavity trays inserted, bricks put back in and then the whole wall repointed. It is very messy and very noisy. (The parrots were on the alert from the first day when the scaffolding went up but they seem to be getting used to the noise now)

Do they growl at the workers? Manzi likes to growl at workers, but he seems to know visitors from workers and just keeps quiet with visitors.
Sounds like a lot of work. Hopefully that will be finished soon and you'll have a more weather-proof house.

We too just had a lot of work done on the house. Chatterbox Chy spoke with all the workmen. However, when things were noisy, she sleeked down her feathers and went on alert.
Hope you get back to normal soon.

As we moved into our new house while the delayed renovations were still in progress, the Doodle Noodle had ample opportunity to inflict his brand of humour on the workmen. He frequently trapped them up their ladders or ontop of their toolboxes as he prowled and growled and cackled beneath their feet. Everytime when i came to the rescue, as i picked him up, hed go "Haw haw haw" at them Fortunately, they all took it in good part and one even brought his grandchildren to see the lumatic

Lenke, that is so funny…I can just picture these burly workmen stuck up on a ladder while the doodle noodle is at the bottom growling at them(rofl)

imagine the workmen trying to explain that to their families when they got home. He was quite a character. Hector doesn't like the cleaning lady to go down the hall to the bedrooms. Maybe because she's out of his sight. He says very angrily "what are you doing?" for some reason she always feels the need to walk back and explain to him a few times what she is going to be doing. They do it every week. She calls him Mr. Hector. It's really funny.

Mitzi growls at workers and some visitors. I always have to warn them about it.
