Not many people could do what you do with Beaker.

Not many people could do what you do with Beaker. Thanks for the compliments. I know I am very fortunate to have that level of trust. Part of the "Attack parrot" game is letting him "win". I tickle him till he squeals and he clomps down hard enough for me to say "that's too hard" or a note of surrender. Then he starts all over...... I told the breeder/groomer Beaker makes the same noises when she "works" on him, except he likes me....... ;D

That is a cute video. Thanks for posting.
I used to "wrestle" a lot more with Manzi. I'm not sure if he has grown out of it, or if I have lost the time to wrestle with him. I'm pretty sure it is the latter. I still do have a game with him when I am folding laundry. He likes to jump in the pile of warm clothes right out of the drier. I pile socks on him while he is continuously throwing them off while tumbling around falling on his back and such. He really seems to enjoy that and always comes back for more.

Sounds like a hoot! They are just like little kids (sometimes).

That was too funny - sounded like he was going to tear you up. Some rough play is natural for them, don't you think?
Auggie loves laundry too, favorite peeka-birdie game

Sheeba also loves to help folding the freshly dried laundry, especially socks. She sort of catches them and throws them back and then goes, "whoo-whoo", then the attack parrot shows up and she makes a run for your hand, trying to get the sock before you can throw it. If she misses, look out! Your hand is next!

It must be something about the warmth of the clothes from the dryer...Jezzie has always "helped" me do laundry ...I think Mondays and Fridays are her favorite days because of it...she constantly makes the dryer beep noise, cause she knows what comes next..LoL

Great video!! If I tried that with Sammy, I would be called "Stumps" as I would probably lose at least one finger!!

IMO (I am no expert, just lucky) the rough housing helps him practice his defensive skills. Makes him contort into those positions besides preening. He likes to attack his toys, but none attack back. Beaker has never broken skin on purpose or bitten me in anger. Just a great bird.

We had to cool it on the rough housing as I had an ingrown nail.
Beaker's complete attention was on the bandage.
I was about three days into healing and he clomped down on it.
I almost saw stars!
YEOWWWW!
He was pretty miffed at no horsing around and even walked across a table and grabbed my finger to try to provoke a response.
He looked up at me like he was expecting a chicken grab and a tickle session.
I finally ended up using my other hand and hiding the bandage.

When Chyloe was injured, the vet tried bandaging her before resorting to an operation. Chy always chewed the bandage off all the while telling herself not to chew her bandage. It was irrisistable.
