LoL…that's Jezzie…at halloween a little boy that came to the door heard her barking (she barks anytime someone comes to the door ) asked to see my dog…so I opened the door wider so they could see Jezzie and told him... It's not my dog hun it's my "bird doggy"…Him and his mom just laughed.

That is really cute. I remember when Manzi copied some shih-tzus. That was not my favorite time. Maybe a larger dog would have been much less painful/annoying.

Aquakittie be careful what you wish for…LoL…We haven't been able to watch tv without Jezzie adding her own dialogue, or a conversation without her adding her 2 cents That's funny....I play a video game that has a barking dog as a game companion, and I've just recently observed that when the dog barks on the game, Gary makes a squawk squawk too. It doesn't really sound like the dog bark, but he seems to do it as a result of hearing the dog on the game. Its kind of funny. He must still not have the development of his full range of vocal noises just yet....and yeah, he does the "talking over" the TV and the vacuum or anything that is generally loud. He starts babbling louder to top the noise...so the hair dryer, the vacuum, the video games, the TV. Its funny except you can't hear what's going on over his chatter.

I find that when Hector is developing a new word or phrase it's unclear and kind of squawky at first. I always know when something new is coming because he says something and I can't understand it and then it will be that you can understand part of it and then Voila the whole new thing comes out. The Squawk, Squawk may be woof woof in a day or two. My new fav is "Hector you're a handsome boy".
