I have a 20 year old Quaker, Maggie and have been in rabbit rescue for years..I live with two house bunnies but this Grey thing is so new and I have tons of 's. Thanks in advance BTW I have had him a month and he is ten years old.

hey there, welcome
Tell us a bit more about your boy. He sounds like he's come to a good place!
Let him show you his speed. Sometimes they need a slower pace than you'd expect....

He's a feather plucker! I always love a challenge. He was in a home for 10 years. Ginny's Dad spent most of the days with him. He had lung cancer and passed way 4 years ago. He sounds just like him! He was bonded to Ginny but she didn't have time for him. He was in his cage for ever I saw her facebook post and new right away I needed to be his mom. He looked so sad in his cage with only a 2 toys and no out time. He is eating Harrison's . I supplement fruits, veggies, whole wheat pasta and brown rice. He started to grow feathers back and he is starting to pick again. I think I got carried away and bought him too many toys....btw..he hates baths! Thanks for the welcome and did I mention..I need help!! Thanks again! And you are right..I need to slow down...

Welcome to the forum. Greys are wonderful.
You are on the right track with food. Even though he hates baths, you could try spraying him. My Chyloe will take a bath in her water dish but hates a real bath or shower. I take out her food and water dishes and spray her while she is in her cage so she can't escape. Then I replace the newspaper under her grate and put in new food and water.
While we are home, Chy's cage door is always open but she often goes in to play with her many toys.
Take your time with Cisco. Let him guide you. Unless it is for his safety, don't force him to do anything. You are going to have so much fun with him.

Congratulations and welcome... everyone here is very helpful. Mine hates being sprayed as well. His old family said he loved showers but no luck so far. He will take a bath in his water dish.

Mine don't like being sprayed at all either, but they both love their showers and Maui loves taking baths. I use a large dog dish for her to take baths.
