Hi all! We have just welcomed the newest addition to our family, little Loki. He was all my daughter wanted for her 16th birthday so here he is. He is almost four months, hatched Jan.8th. We are all in love with him. Here are a few pics. Btw, he loves the shower!

Sometimes he's in a mood and won't eat from our hand. Unless it's sunflower seeds. I ordered a clicker online to see how well he'll respond to clicker training using sunflower seeds as he cannot resist them! He still will not step up onto our hand so maybe that will help. I write this as he is diving into his breakfast of warmed peas and carrots. His breeder said he was eating Zupreem natural pellets, so we bought them, but they seem really hard for him to chew. He just ends up dropping them. We have also been giving him a vitamin enriched seed mix called Premium Encore Parrot food in the morning and evening and pellets through the day. He loves pineapple, apples, asparagus but won't touch oranges. Thanks for the welcome!

Welcome to the forum.
I just love those sweet baby greys. Dropping food seems to be a grey specialty regardless of age. Keep us updated with his antics and ask any questions you may have. We love to hear stories about our greys.

OMG! Rocky's birthday is Jan 13 this year!!! They can grow up together!!! This will be so much fun!! Welcome LOL You'll be amazed at how affectionate these guys are...at least I am...everyday! I've had Rocky for 3 weeks now and he is just such a little sweetheart! I look forward to comparing stories as these guys grow together :-) BTW (with a clicker keep in mind he will probably make that sound LOL but you can replace the "click" with any sound you want if you don't want to teach him to be clicking all the time...just a thought) When I first brought Rocky home he had a difficult time stepping up so I put my hand under his tummy (sometimes with my pinky and ring finger straddling his legs) and gently lifted ever so slowly until he lifted a foot to step up, that way if he went off balance and started to fall he would simply "land" in my hand. So, came home from work and Loki was so excited to see me! My daughter and I are his favorites, I think. He was making his "ooooo! Ooooo!" Call and going back and forth on his cage. I gave him some peeled green pepper, cuddled him a bit and then gave him a shower. He still won't step up onto my hand but I took his perch into the shower. It seems he'll let me touch him anywhere when he's in the shower, even his tummy!he is so relaxed and chillin out in there! We love him so much and he gets more affectionate by the day. Gives us his morning chirp at 6 am sharp every morning for his breakfast. I was calling my husband from work just to see how the baby is doing, lol.

Just a little update! Loki now steps up no problem! He is more sweet than ever, has his own little noise for every mood. We know them all and recognize them. He has a huge attatchment to his cage. We let him out for hours every day, whenever we are home, he's out. Our dog and Loki have no problems with each other, actually, they kind of ignore each other.... But when Loki is on the floor, Tucker is wagging his tail and wants to play but Loki is not interested, lol. He likes to sit on top of his cage and watch what we are doing. I just ordered an aviator harness for him so we can take him outside with us. He is very vocal and loves music! Attachments:
