Jezzie was the last "child" brought into the house.....my other 4 legged children were adults when Jezzie came, small (chihuahua's) and will make a path for her when she goes on her little strolls...well we got a german shepherd puppy 2 weeks ago...Jezzie won't come down and walk around the house anymore which I totally understand and am glad she doesn't...Neeko (gs puppy) has noticed her on her play stand when she is acting silly or calling him and when she is eating dinner with me and feeding him and CeeCee...the question is..When do I "formally" introduce them? He is so hyper right now I'm kinda scared to...should I just let her do it on her own time? I am so worried he will hurt her...oh and Neeko is 10 weeks old today...

I don't know what you mean by "formally" introduce them. I would introduce them to each other as soon as possible. Maybe restrain Neeko and bring Jezzie next to him. Begin to teach Neeko that he needs to leave Jezzie alone. I'm sure with time, Jezzie will teach Neeko herself.
Lenks, you have quite a few different animals. Maybe you can give some insight.

"Formally" like hold Jezzie and bring her down to Neeko's height...Like face to face...I guess they have kinda met each other with eating dinner together...I'm gonna have hubby restrain him tonight and i'll bring Jezzie to him and see how it goes.

I am thinking Neeko on the floor and Jezzie in your lap on the couch close. Beak to nose might not end well?

I agree about beak to nose. I can imagine that a nose will be no challenge for a beak, and worse, feathers will be no challenge for some sharp puppy teeth.
It might be good to show Jezzie his side so that he doesn't get a chance to bite her and she doesn't get a chance to do any serious damage to his face. Manzi has tried biting a Labrador on his back, but it didn't make it past his fur, so he didn't realize Manzi's true intentions.

hey amoritay.
in my house, i just let the intros happen as and when they do. i don't make a big production of it at all. and, every time i've had a puppy or kitty and they've "met" the doodle monster, generally he's been the one to come out on top of the encounter.
your jezzy's enough of a lady that she probably knows that the rambunctious puppy will seriously ruffle her feathers if she comes down to within puppy area while pups awake and energetic. i would bet that, if one evening, pups a bit tired after a day of play & walks, and settles on the floor somewhere, you will find miss jezz coming down on her own to go "see" what this noisy rotter is. If that happens, just let it happen. But, of course, keep an eye on things so that neither pup nor jezz gets chomped. (Of course, i am such an evil woman that i actually let it get as far as chomping so that new critter learns respect for the doodle, and if it goes the other way, that doodle learns due respect for the critter!)

Thanks for the advice everyone...I'm gonna let it happen when it happens and just keep a close eye on them...
