I also believe that is what happened. When our dogs were still with us in our other home, I thought that I saw something out of the corner of my eye, I noticed that both dogs were sitting at attention , quiet and looking in the same direction. Mind you they were never quiet.
Jane, he will watch over you. Susan

Of course I believe that we are always in the presence of our loved ones that have passed, the veil is in place so we can't see them, but animals have a keener sense of awareness.
Years ago when Logan and Maggie were still alive, as Charlie and I were sitting in the living room watching TV. Dalton started to growl and his hackles were raised from his tail to his neck while he stared at the corner of the living room. Logan flew from her cage to me and continued to star at the corner. Meanwhile Dalton was staring at the corner while backing around the chair that Charlie was sitting on. I just looked at the corner and said "You need to leave your scaring the animals". Evidently that is all it took because the animals settled down and life was normal. We always thought it was the old man who built our house as the animals didn't act like they knew the presence. I was not upset, just curious.
About a week after my grandpa passed away, my grandma said she clearly saw him walk to the bed and get in covering himself up. They were married 65 years.

Jane's Michael will be laid to rest on the 15th in what sounds like a beautiful, peaceful setting.

Thank you everyone. It was a good day for Michael's funeral - dry and not too cold. The walk through the woods to the burial plot was beautiful, autumn leaves down and birds singing. He is at peace now.

I'm glad to hear it was a good autumn day. It is good to know that Michael is out of pain and at peace. As always, our thoughts and prayers are with you, Jane, and the fids. Always wishing you the best, Tom

Mitzi knows I am upset. She watches me like a hawk and when she comes out she just cuddles up really close.
