Having only had my grey(Willy) for two days he gets very noisy when I get near to the cage,he is getting better each day and I put food on his perch and he eats it then, also as Jane suggests will let Willys cage door stay open.....Will he find his way back and not be hard to put back?

He should find his way back okay and they usually go in and out of an open cage as they wish. It shouldn't be a problem because he knows that is where the food is. Many get quite territorial about their cages and that might be why he is getting noisy when you go near. However, as he is not yet trained to step-up, once he is out, you would probably have to wait for him to go back in rather than be able to put him back yourself.

Pete displays his temper sometimes when it's time to go back, but you have to be in charge.
