I was wondering what y'alls take on this is. We will be bringing Einstein home in a week. The question is this should we have his cage ready to go with toys and such or should we let him watch us prepare his cage and show him the toys and stuff as we put them in there. I also was wondering if it needs to be ready when he gets there should we go ahead and put him in it and talk and reassure him it's ok or take him on the grand tour of his new house from room to room. We have talked about it and are not really sure what would be less stressful

I would have his cage ready for him. I also think it would be better to put him in it and wait until he is settled before taking him on a grand tour of the house. Everything will be new to him and it will be too much to take in at once. Just get him home and let him settle in and then gradually introduce him to the rest of the house.

Thanks Jane we just want to keep the stress levels to a minimum! We are excited to get him home. We are willing to do whatever it takes to make the transition as smooth as possible.

I can't really give ya any advise on the cage, as Jack already had his when we got him. But he was a little apprehensive about seeing other parts of the house other than his "room". But I have had him about a month now and he is ok going into the adjacent room but will not let me take him up the steps at all.
