For some reason all day yesterday, Kasey wouldn't come out of her cage or let anyone hold her! She kept biting at me, which she never does!! I'm thinking that she is upset because she still is not aloud to play on the top of her cage. She didn't really start the attitude until then. Any advise? I still play with her a lot it is just on the floor instead of up high. Please help!

Maybe something is irritating her physically; that can lead to biting by birds who usually don't. Has she stopped plucking?
She might be feeling frustrated that she can't go on the top of the cage although putting the cage lower down usually makes them more docile, not the other way round.

Pearl seems to have bonded to me and not my fiancee. She will step up on him when I am holding her, but she won't let him touch her or take her out when she's in her cage. Ryan (my fiancee) just got a haircut last night, and he does look different, and now she is being even more mean to him than usual. Is it because of the hair? What can I do to ease their relationship?

It could well be to do with the haircut; greys are very sensitive to change and that includes hair and clothes! She will get used to it. They often choose one favourite person and make it very clear that other people are not allowed the same privileges, but at least she will step up for Ryan, which is a good sign. See what else she will let him do while you are there, and encourage her, because they are often more submissive while the favoured person is around, as you have seen.

I think she has stopped plucking. I haven't found any feathers, but in the morning when I get her up there is always a bunch for little white fuzzies around her water bowl. So, I look at her and I can't find where she has any less feathers then anywhere else. I'm thinking she maybe doing this because of a new toy I got her. It is a wooden bird that has bells on it. It is painted to look like a grey. Could that be it?
Thanks Jane, Ashley

It could be. They can get very fussy about new toys, and also about favourite things that get taken away. There is a tendency for them to lose a few down feathers every day so this might just be normal loss.
