hi everyone, we have just purchased a conure parrot (last years hatch).our new addition to our family is to keep our african grey company but the gentleman who had him was old and had a cockatiel with him in a massive cage, we were wondering if the conure would eat the same food as a cag i.e veg and stuff pls help as we have only had it a day and he's just settlin in thanks barry

Although they come from different parts of the world, their natural diet consists of the local seeds, berries, vegetation and whatever else is available. In captivity they can have a similar diet. Pretty Bird do pellets suitable for both - Daily Select Medium (although this might be too big for the smaller conures), and also Jungle Munchies (Conure African). Plus of course the fruit, veg and other suitable foods.

thanks for that.Unfortunatly we have to re home our new conure parrot as he is showing the signs of not wanting to bond with our grey.We think that the previous owner never shown him very much attention to handling and he bites us at every opportunity.And also our grey(sparky) has become very very jealous with the new addition in the family.We are lucky that a close family member will take the bird on for us permanantly.
