Jane may I first thank you for the answers I've been receiving from this site. Sorry for all the questions. Preston is also one of the top birds is he not? Thank you Preston.
Can TAG's really live 40 to 60 years?

You are very welcome. I know I can speak for Preston and say that we are both happy to help, so don't apologise for asking questions. Yes, the lifespan of African Greys is often given as anything in the region of 40 to 70 years, given a good diet and environment.

Jane, you mentioned "good diet" and I know you've covered what that entails numerous times within this board. I was wondering, is the Harrisons bird food really a fully well rounded, nutritious diet that does not require supplementation? I have read a lot of the Harrisons brochures, and someone in the forum commented earlier that they now feed this to their birds, and I was wondering if you knew the value of this food. My vet and pet store strongly recommend it, even though it is a great deal more expensive, they say it is the closest mimic of food that greys would eat in the wild. I would definitely be willing to invest if it would make Pearl live a longer, healthier life. What do you think?

I think you should try it if you want to, I believe it is a very good quality pellet but it, like all pellets, is a processed food and I think you should still give vegetables and fruit and other fresh foods.
