I recently took in a what I am going to guess to be a 15yr old Grey named Checkers. He origionaly came into the family when I was about 4. He was brought to my mom at 3 weeks with 2 other baby greys. Aparently something had caused the parents to turn on the babies and Checkers the one I now have has no toes, one has no feel and the last one has no wings. As payment for getting them out of danger he let her keep one. After the years my parents split up and my mom took Checkers with her. Now mom has to move and can't take him with her. Of coarse she was sad to se him go but was happy that I will be the one taking care of him(I think its a him lol) The only bad thing is I have a bird with no toes. We made a cage for him so he could walk on the bottom and I am working on getting him comfortable to getting out and walking around on carpet. Mom had dogs so he didn't get out much with her. I think hes started to like me now It took him a week or so to get used to me but everythings good now. He keeps trying to regurgitate on me which from what I understand is a good thing. lol Well if anyone has any tips/hints I appreciate it. Hopefully I'll bebuilding him a new cage with some more room soon. Any questions please ask. Thanks!

Disabled birds wouldn't survive in the wild but they are very adaptable in captivity and can do surprisingly well. Regurgitating food is a good sign and something they do for a favoured person. Good Luck.
